Fresh figs are delicious sweet fruits with soft flesh and crunchy seeds. They are rich in fiber and minerals such as potassium, iron and magnesium and vitamins A and K.
Start your day off right with this tasty, nutritious breakfast of oatmeal with figs, cardamom, adaptogens and homemade chocolate drizzle.



This is how you make it:

Soak the oatmeal the night before in some water with a splash of fresh lemon juice. This helps to reduce the phytic acid in oats, which inhibits nutrient absorption.

Cook the oatmeal in half a cup of (plant-based) milk of your choice with a bit of virgin coconut oil. Add a fig cut into small pieces, a pinch of Himalayan salt, ground cardamom to taste, and 1/2 teaspoon of adaptogens like the I am focused blend.
It is especially formulated to support cognitive functions such as concentration, memory, mental clarity, information processing and overall brain health.


Turn off the heat and add your favorite sweetener such as maple syrup or raw honey.

For the chocolate drizzle, melt some coconut oil or cacao butter Au Bain Marie (hot water bath). Add cacao powder and some maple syrup and stir well. Let the chocolate sauce thicken a little bit and then pour it over your porridge. Serve with fresh figs.
